Originally from upstate New York near Saratoga Springs, Jennifer is a lifelong horsewoman and has been an active competitor for more than 40 years in a wide variety of equestrian breeds and disciplines. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, she spent the early years of her career gathering a wealth of experience in the advertising, retail, equine management and veterinary fields. Jennifer worked for more than a decade among Kentucky's world-famous Thoroughbred farms, helping to raise future champions from the breeding shed and foaling barn to the sales ring and racetrack and then transitioning into a sport horse career.
Using the industry knowledge she gained, Jennifer first worked in marketing as a member of the advertising department for the nation's leading Thoroughbred publication for several years. Moving into the sport horse world, she then spent more nearly a decade with the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) as the National Director of Dressage. Now a nationally- and internationally-published author and photographer, Jennifer is doing what she loves by continuing her career in the equine industry as the owner of Yellow Horse Marketing, which specializes in public relations work for equine organizations, companies, and competitions.
Jennifer lives in the beautiful Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky with her husband David Harris. When she's not holding a camera, she's holding the reins of one of her talented ponies, competing at the international level of combined driving. To date, Jennifer has been crowned U.S. Equestrian National Champion five times and has twice been named to the U.S. Team for the World Championships. She is also an active buyer and seller at major Thoroughbred auctions in Kentucky, Florida, New York and Maryland.
